Lebron James’ Home Vandalized With Racial Slur

The Los Angeles home of Lebron James was defaced when someone spray painted a racial slur across the front gate this week.  Police are currently investigating, but at this point the damage has been done.  Someone sought to draw negative racial attention to Lebron James and they succeeded.

Most decent people will rally to the King’s defense, but those with disparaging views of highly paid black athletes may have just given themselves an internal high five.  Maybe this was the act of some liberal activist trying to stir the pot of politicians and the media in some flawed attempt at creating positive change.  Maybe this was some rich Los Angeles elite, who can’t stand that some black basketball player has a house bigger than his/hers.

What I do know is that whoever the culprit is they are the problem in this country right now.  The person who did this whether it was a misguided conservative or a misguided liberal, they are at the heart of much of the negativity and hate we see in this country and across the world.  The worst part is they are depriving the rest of rational people of all the potential love and greatness we’re missing out on, because they can’t figure out how to suck a little bit less.

Los Angeles police were called Wednesday to a home belonging to Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James to investigate a reported racial slur spray-painted on the front gate.

Police confirmed the incident, which is still under investigation, to ESPN. It was first reported by TMZ.

The Brentwood home is not James’ primary residence. Capt. Patricia Sandoval, a spokeswoman for the Los Angeles Police Department, told The Associated Press that James wasn’t home at the time.

Sandoval said someone had painted over the slur before officers arrived at the home early Wednesday morning.

Police are investigating it as an act of vandalism and a possible hate crime.

Sandoval said the property manager told officers they believe the incident was captured on surveillance video.

James bought the house in 2015 for roughly $20.9 million. It is 9,440 square feet.

“It’s ignorance, that’s what it is,” a source close to James with knowledge of the situation told ESPN’s Dave McMenamin. “Unfortunately in 2017 people still think the way they do. I can’t say it’s surprising given what’s happened in this country the last eight months.

“You can be a titan of industry, you can be a community leader, you can be the best at what you do and they can cut you down to just, ‘You’re black.'”
